Second
Stage facilities offer protective affordable long-term housing
for women who have left abusive relationships and are moving
toward violence-free lives. These programs assist women in
planning and implementing strategies to achieve personal growth,
increased independence and empowerment in their lives. Comprehensive
emotional and practical support is provided, including individual,
group, and child counselling, parenting support, and referral
services.
